TR23 thanks and survey

Well, we’ve done it for another year.   TR23 wrapped around lunchtime on Sunday 3 December 2023, and we all scattered back to our home locations.  But wasn’t it great getting together!  In the next few days we’ll have photos and memories posted so that you can relive if you were there, and agonise about what you missed if you weren’t there.

Your thoughts for now and the future please?

As we bid farewell to another successful Technorama event, we invite you to share your experiences and feedback. Please take a moment to fill out our post-event survey.   Your thoughts and suggestions are crucial in shaping future events and ensuring that Technorama remains a focal point for technologists in the Australian Community Media Sector.

What we did

TR23 was a blend of learning, networking, and, most importantly, fun. From the Education Day focusing on Raspberry Pi projects, to our engaging sessions and the unconference topics; each aspect was designed with you in mind. It was great to see so many of you participating actively, sharing your ideas, and contributing to the vibrant discussions.

Socially we excelled: the opportunity to actually get together, share a few meals and conviviality, and have a Quiz Night in person, glued the event together in a way we haven’t been able to do for a few years.  Nice to be back on track.

Amazing Guest of Honour

A special mention to our Guest of Honour, Pat Sproule, for sharing invaluable insights and experiences. Pat’s journey in the community broadcasting sector and vision for the future were not only enlightening but also a testament to the possibilities within our field.

AGM outcomes

We had the shortest AGM ever, with the second largest attendance ever.  Congratulations to the newly elected Committee member:  Mick Kerr from 96Five in Brisbane; to our reelected Vice President Hannah Murray; and to our reelected Treasurer Jim Parish.

Next?

The Committee would like your thoughts and feedback.  If you attended TR23, then please fill in the post event survey.  If you couldn’t make it but you’d like to drop us a line to make suggestions for the future, then info@technorama.org.au will get to all the right people.
